China draws redline in the sand

Xi Jinping was too composed of to be true when he threw the gauntlet to American hegemon as regards to the constant parroting of nagging blame that China is helping Russia in prosecuting War in Ukraine. This is the first time the redline was drawn in the sand with a straight warning. Read for more:

In sum, Xi Jinping stated precisely this:  “Stop blaming China. China does not help the Russian Federation, but if it decides to help, God will not help you. Almost the whole world helps Ukraine. If we see the threat of the Third World War, we will help the Russian Federation, but for now, relax and watch how Russia single-handedly defeats more than fifty countries of the world."

No doubt the meaning is chilling along with the words he uttered. My imputing is explained in the following paras as regards to the implied intention on the part of Chinese leadership vis-à-vis America and Russia:

Ostensibly, the alliance between China & Russia is already chiselled in stone without formally calling it a pact or agreement. Here is the evidence from military men from both sides of the aisle. Valery Gerasimov who functions as Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces says succinctly: “Russian-Chinese comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction are at the highest level”. That is plain speaking of geoeconomics.

Recent visit by Chinese Defence Minister Gen. Li Shangfu who conferred with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu and other top rung military officials underscores China’s ever strengthening as well as unwavering engagement with Russia in military and diplomatic affairs. A key element is to align policies of both China & Russia in global setting. Second dimension is to re-shape the current unipolar world to multi-polar one.

Third one relates to eroding the power & influence of American led West in the entire gamut of activities, not limited to, finance, currency trade, and scientific co-operation. Fourth one is the trending thread of geoeconomics that stitches both China and Russia together. For military men of their calibre there is an extra ordinary over-awning as they touched on the most sensitive subject of space to earth co-operation of both military and civilian relationship.

What the political leadership in both Russia & China is thinking is reflected by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin who while visiting Beijing acknowledged that western pressure on both countries is taking Russia-China ties to an “unprecedented high”. That was, in sum, the political statement that echoes in the halls of Beijing administration as well. Culminating, Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation hit the nail on the head “US wants to weaken Russia, but their ultimate goal is China."

Let this sink in: China is not just watching. If Russia is to be defeated in Ukraine, god forbid, then China has no other option but to intervene militarily lest America gobbles both these countries!

Cheers!
